Conferences

The Society of Women Engineers hosts its annual conference that is the largest event of its kind for women engineers and employers who want to leverage the passion and perspective of this influential group. Attendees can connect with colleagues around the world like never before. The conference brings together the leading businesses, organizations, universities and innovators in engineering. You bring your enthusiasm, perspective and plenty of business cards.

Attendees can expect to leave inspired and carrying a renewed sense of pride about their place in the engineering profession. In addition to networking and professional development opportunities, attendees can expect to develop and renew friendships while connecting with leading edge innovators in the international engineering community. Take three days to exchange ideas and expand your global network in a way that will transform your perspective and approach.

More than 8,000 members from across the globe will join in a three-day educational celebration of all things engineering. There’s something for everyone at every stage of their career. Here are just a few of the reasons why WE16 can't be missed:

  • Take your career to the next level with professional development opportunities
  • Connect with like-minded SWE and International Network of Women Engineers and Scientists members from around the world
  • Network with employers looking for applicants just like you at the Career Fair
  • Rock out at the revamped Ice Cream Social
  • Relax in the Spark Center with a manicure, snap a fun photo with friends and learn more about what SWE has to offer as part of your membership
  • Experience the sights and sounds of Nashville the "music city", by taking advantage of tours, eateries and activities
  • Be inspired from our keynote speakers or by attending award banquets and the plenary sessions

2017 Region Conferences

For SWE members, ongoing interaction with all that SWE offers happens at the Region and Section levels. Region conferences offer a smaller, local version of the annual conference for professional and collegiate members. In order to meet the demand of Region conferences and to centralize the SWE experience, SWE headquarters launched WE Local.

WE Local official conferences will launch in 2017 with two locations: San Jose, CA (Region A and J) and Pittsburg, PA (Region G). The remaining region conferences (B, C, D, E, F, H, and I) will still be held in 2017. However in 2018, WE Local conferences will be held in lieu of region conferences and expand to five local cities throughout the country with locations changing every year.

Having issues with your log in? These tips should help:

  • Your website login information is the same as your SWE Member ID and password that you use to log in to the SWE Member Services Center.
  • Login information is case-sensitive so check "Caps Lock" if you receive an error message.
  • Your SWE Membership login ID is different than your Career Center login. If you are trying to login to the Career Center and are receiving an error message please make sure you are using your Career Center login. If you have forgotten that information, click on the Login link in either the "Job Seekers" or "Employers" tab and then the "Forgot Password" link to retrieve your information. If you do not have a Career Center login, you can register in the same tab.
  • If you are receiving an "Invalid Token" error, it is most likely because you may already be logged into the website in another browser window or tab. You cannot be logged into the site more than once. Check to see if you are already logged in in another window or tab. If you are still getting this error and your page has been sitting idle for a while try refreshing the page or logging in again from the main page. You may also have a clogged browser cache. All you need to do is delete your browser history.
  • Once logged in, SWE members should be able to directly access all webinar replays. Go-to meeting webinars require input of an email address.
  • To report other issues with login, please use the "Report Page" link at the bottom of this page and include the browser you are using (e.g. Firefox, Explorer) and version of that browser (indicated by a number, e.g. 1.9; 11.0). This information can be found under "Help" and "About" in the Menu Bar.
